On June 7th, the Urban Thinkscape team participated in a luncheon at The Brookings Institution in Washington, D.C., where we explored the emergence of purpose-built communities and the evidence-based concept of learning landscapes and the “other 80%,” referencing the amount of time in which children spend outside of the classroom. The discussion highlighted the Urban Thinkscape project and explored the potential for such projects to transform communities and multiply the opportunities to develop engaging cities and learning zones.
